Organizers: YPARD Zambia

Soil is crucial for food, water, carbon storage, and ecosystem resilience, yet youth-led soil health initiatives are overlooked. In Zambia, where youth make up 36.7% of the population and 69% are engaged in agri-food systems, their exclusion leaves them vulnerable to climate shocks. Engaging youth in soil health is key to sustainable systems and climate action.

The event will focus on how youth can be better engaged at multiple scales of soil health interventions to accelerate climate resilience and soil restoration.
