Activity 6.1.1 will focus on the Coordination of Governance meetings and processes.
Activity 6.1.2 will focus on coordinating IRC thematic WGs that will play out the broad functions expected to characterize the IRC.
Activity 6.1.3 focuses on federating and widening the IRC Platform
Activity 6.1.4 Piloting IRC Gender and Youth Working Group
Activity 6.2.1 will implement ongoing communication work in close collaboration with all partners of CEA-FIRST
Activity 6.2.2 Engages in “IRC Dialogues” with stakeholders.
Activity 6.2.3. Establishes an IRC Working Group on Communication across all work packages.
Activity 6.3.1 focusses on Technical and financial project administration in line with guidelines developed under WP1.
Activity 6.3.2 will coordinate and implement cross-WPs actions/linkages to ensure coherence in line with cross-cutting activities defined under WP1.
Activity 6.3.3 will monitor the project implementation together with all partners.
Purpose of WP5
The overall purpose of WP6 is to coordinate the CEA-FIRST project including the coordination of the IRC functions and services during the pilot phase. To ensure operationalization of the IRC by the end of CEA-FIRST project, WP6 will pilot and facilitate the piloting of IRC functions and processes as proof of the IRC concept. These include the implementation of the Secretariat roles and functions, set up and functioning of the Working Groups on; Communication, Gender and youth, Funders and Thematic working groups approved by the IRC GA to be implemented by WPs 3, and 5; facilitate the functioning of IRC Anchor Centres as a key advocacy/outreach mechanism for the IRC. |
Objectives of WP5

To coordinate implementation of all IRC Secretariat functions, including the setting up and functioning of Working. Group activities to ensure that the IRC is operational by the end of the CEA-FIRST CSA project; and,

Working with other WPs, facilitate the outreach to decision-makers, stakeholders, academia and funders and their networks in the field of R&I on FNSSA (WP3 and WP5) and the provision of a platform of knowledge sharing, learning and dissemination (under WPs 2 and 4).

To implement a continuous project management by implementing the guidelines as set up during the start-up phase to deliver the consortium agreement deliverables in close collaboration with the policy and financial officers of the EC, including joint and crosscutting activities fostering the collaboration of all partners across the work packages.
