At its first General Assembly sitting on 14, March 2025 in Brussels, the Secretariat of the International Research Consortium (IRC) on Food and Nutrition Security for sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) was formally constituted. The inaugural Secretariat is co-led by FARA and FANRPAN on the Africa side and Agrinatura and University of Helsinki (UH) on the European side.
In accordance with this and under the aegis of the AU-EU High level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) Working Group on FNSSA, the IRC Secretariat, under the guidance of the General Assembly (GA) Co-Chairs (FARA and Agrinatura), hereby issues a Call for Nominations for membership in the IRC Council and External Advirosy Committee (EAC)
This Council will ensure the continuity of IRC activities and implements the decisions of the General Assembly. This call is open to representatives from Full IRC member institutions in good standing and aims to ensure the tenets of the IRC Charter on diversity, transparency and inclusivity in leadership.
The EAC provides independent strategic advice to support the IRC’s mission in advancing research, innovation, training, and impacts related to Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) in Europe and Africa. This call is open to representatives from Full IRC member institutions in good standing and have agreed to uphold the tenets of the IRC Charter on diversity, transparency and inclusivity in leadership.
